When I add/remove things I'm not sure if I'm breaking the printer.-Print jobs come out garbled, with faint ink and overlaps. This printer has been a huge source of frustration since I got it -- I've been mired with all kinds of problems:-Drivers not installing properly (had to call customer support)-Weird spooling errors.-Hardware unintuitive.
The text in the Amazon listing does not specifically tell you that you must buy a cable in order to connect a computer to this printer, so please consider that as you compare the price of this printer to other printers.
The quality of the images it prints is great when settings are set to high. I have owned this printer for about 8-months and have only good things to say about it (considering the price). Has no LCD screen showing the print status on the printer itself Pros1.Is quiet when printing, scanning, copying2.The price3.Price of the print cartridges 4.Can be installed on almost any age computer (Installed it on a computer 8-years old)Cons1.Does not have any memory-stick readers (expected considering the price)2.The software's files sizes are quite large (Only a problem when loading the printer onto a very old machine)3. It scans, prints, copies, and the software that comes with it is pretty decent. The number one thing I liked about this printer is that the replacement print cartridges can be purchased for less than $15 a piece ([.].).
If you don't mind dealing with what appears to be a cheaply made printer and have no needs to print over a network - this is the printer for you. Anytime you try to print over a network it causes the host computer to have a spooler error and removes all printers from that computer. Just google "f4280 problems spooler".
An all-in-one printer for about $50 and pretty cheap ink. Windows XP support seems to be lacking - either that or a reinstall of the software is required every so often. It seemed like a deal.
It also seems to have ZERO support for network printing. But for now, I'm stuck moving the printer around the house to print what's needed. Not recommended. Then I tried to use it.
It seemed ok at first, printing most of the time I needed it, but then the problems started.
This one fits the bill.I've been pleased with its performance. I needed an inexpensive printer, scanner, copier.
